Today's Journey: Debunking the lies that have kept us prisoner’s inside our minds
Inner Vows is a topic that needs to be spoken about way more then we do. When we were still children, most of us never sat down and decided who we wanted to be or what we liked. This was always passed down by either our parents, family members, social media, or by our friends later in life.
So from a very young age we took on the identity that was given to us. By no mean is this to shame or judge any care giver but it is to bring to light the reality that most of who we are today was not what we choose.
This is the same for the lies we have believed for many years. In so many cultures growing up when you were caught sitting and doing nothing you were told how lazy you were. We grew up majority of the time just hearing what it is we are doing wrong, and what we need to do right. This created a very critical voice in my mind that left me judging myself.
The truth is most of what we hear in our minds is not our voice and if you read Epeshians 6, you will see that we never fought flesh and blood and was always a battle that was spiritual. With this exercise the goal is to just name them out loud.
As hard as it might be, I want you to pray for strength and I want you to lay all those lies at the feet of God.
Once we move to the letter R- Renew your mind, we will come back and replace all these lies with God’s truth. For now we just need to bring them out of the dark into the light

Reflection Question:
Why do you think it is so hard for you to forgive?
Guided Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Today I pray for your daughter who has come boldly to your throne seeking a forgiving heart. Father you alone know the pain she carries and the weight that is on her shoulders to forgive people who have truly caused her pain. I pray for your strength over her life as she takes the most important steps in her healing journey
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
